Mama Minis
I can’t believe the last blog post I wrote was a year and a half ago. Eeek! A lot has changed since then as you all know. I had just recovered from having my second child and I was eager to start shooting again when the news of Covid hit our shores. I was prepped and ready to send out a booking email for my mini sessions in March and decided it wasn’t a good time as I felt a wave was about to hit and hit hard.
Flash forward 4 months and after being quarantined with my two kids and absolutely no down time, the drive to shoot again was even stronger. Photography is a creative outlet for me. It is therapeutic to focus on composition and color instead of making a million snacks a day. My Kids are always hungry.
I wanted to shoot these mini sessions at an indoor studio because frankly the idea of photographing several families back to back in an outdoor location where I have no control over the weather or the actual setting is my living nightmare. I wanted to have complete control over my environment so that when the shooting began all I had to focus on was the people in front of my camera.
The families that signed up were amazing. Everyone was considerate and so easy to work with. They all showed up on time, in the best moods and looked fabulous. I feel really lucky!
If this looks fun to you, don’t forget to sign up to my email list! You will be the first to know about new mini session opportunities.
